Best High Schools in 2008
U.S. News and World Report, in collaboration with School Evaluation Services (a data research and business analysis firm) has analyzed academic and enrollment data from more then 18,000 public high schools to find the very best across the country. Chetek High School was identified in the top 1600 of all these schools for the second year in a row.
The entire article, analysis criteria and related information can be found at http://www.usnews.com/sections/education/index.html. This is another example of the type of education supported by the Chetek community. The investment of time, public tax dollars and hard work from staff are paying dividends for our students.
Three schools in our area were recognized in this report: Chetek, Turtle Lake, Cameron and Rice Lake. Other area high schools such as Spooner, Grantsburg, Hayward, Weyerhaeuser, Cornell and Birchwood were also identified. As the school district moves into the future, this is a foundation upon which the community can continue to build a high performing student-centered school district.
