This page offers students and parents a place to find on-line educational games and resources. The grade/age guidelines are offered to help in selecting appropriate websites, but may not apply to each individual child depending on their abilities and interests. The Chetek School District encourages you to go on-line with your child and to always monitor their on-line activities. If you find a link on this page that does not work, please use the "Contact Us" link at the left of the screen to let us know. We are always looking for kid-safe on-line resources. Best High Schools in 2008

U.S. News and World Report, in collaboration with School Evaluation Services (a data research and business analysis firm) has analyzed academic and enrollment data from more then 18,000 public high schools to find the very best across the country. Chetek High School was identified in the top 1600 of all these schools for the second year in a row.

The entire article, analysis criteria and related information can be found at http://www.usnews.com/sections/education/index.html. This is another example of the type of education supported by the Chetek community. The investment of time, public tax dollars and hard work from staff are paying dividends for our students.

Three schools in our area were recognized in this report: Chetek, Turtle Lake, Cameron and Rice Lake. Other area high schools such as Spooner, Grantsburg, Hayward, Weyerhaeuser, Cornell and Birchwood were also identified. As the school district moves into the future, this is a foundation upon which the community can continue to build a high performing student-centered school district.

Go Bulldogs!

The beauty of our lakes and year-round recreational activities is not the only reason to locate your family in the Chetek School District. Chetek schools have high academic expectations for their children and the results are certainly apparent. In 2005, 100 percent of all Chetek's third graders are reading within the proficient and advanced range, as reported on the Wisconsin Reading Comprehension Test given to all third graders last year. Both Chetek High School and Middle School have been given the New Wisconsin Promise - Schools of Recognition Award for above average student academic performance in reading and in mathematics for all students. If high academic expectations are important to you, visit with one of our principals and speak with our staff. Chetek Schools could be your school of choice!
